Clan: Riverclan
Age: Twenty-two moons
Gender:Female // She-Cat
Rank: Warrior
Personality: Sunrise is a rather laidback cat. During the times in which she has nothing else to do, she can be found basking in the sunlight, watching the other cats in the clearing. When she isn't in the clearing, she can be found helping the queens in the nursery, taking some of the burden off their shoulders by watching their kits while they go out to stretch their legs. Though, her old, prankster self sometimes shows while around kits, so beware, queens! Her heart is in loyal to only Riverclan, and she wouldn't dare to -willingly- betray her clan. Sunrise is actually a spitfire, and she goes into a defencive rage of sorts when someone insults her clan. It takes a lot to calm this she-cat down, unless you are the right cat. Sunrise is absolutely terrified of Twolegs, believing that they will kill her without a second thought just as they did her parents.
Family: CONDORCALL -- father -- riverclan -- deceased NIGHTSTONE -- mother -- riverclan -- deceased RUSSETCLOUD -- older half-brother -- riverclan -- alive KOISTREAM -- brother -- riverclan -- alive
History: She was born on a warm, sunny GreenLeaf morning. Her father was impatiently pacing while waiting to be allowed into the nursery, and his son from a previous mate and litter was snickering beside the entrance, amused at his father's behaviour. The dark brown and white tom (Condorcall) was about to snap at his russet colored son (Russetcloud--paw then) when the medicicine cat poked his (random gender since there isn't one yet) head out of the bramble thicket of the nursery. The pair slipped inside, quickling making their way over to the midnight black she-cat (Nightstone) who was curled around two bundles of white, pale orange, and pale grey fur. Upon asking for their names, Nightstone thought for a moment before replying with Sunkit and Koikit.
As soon as they could open their eyes and walk, the pair were always finding some way to cause trouble. They were 'partners-in-crime', with Russetpaw as their 'organizer'. He would tell them what to do, and they would do it. Sunkit was even able to persuade some of the other kits to help them with many of their glorious pranks. On days in which their older half-brother was off doing apprentice-related work, Sunkit and Koikit would play games of 'war' with the other kits, sometimes even dragging in apprentices and warriors with nothing better to do.
Their days were changed for the worse on a rather warm day in the beginning of LeafFall. The changer? Twolegs. They came cloaked in the colors of the Earth, baring strange objects in their paws. There were only two of them, but the threat remained all the same. The Twolegs had stumbled on the camp while many of the cats were out on patrols. The only ones left were a few warriors, apprentices, the elders, and the queens with their kits. Sunkit and Koikit, only four moons of age at the time, had been playing with Russetpaw in the clearing. Nightstone and Condorcall were watching in the distance near the nursery, speaking with the Queens who were washing their own kits. Then the Twolegs appeared. Many of the cats had retreated back into their dens, but the trio of siblings were frozen in their spots, eyes wide with fear.
Nightstone was the first to act, charging forward and placing herself in front of her kits. Condorcall acted next, darting in and picking up Koikit by the scruff of his neck, giving Russetpaw a silent command, before rocketed toward the nursery. Russetpaw willed his paws to move, picking Sunkit up by the scruff of her neck, and retreating to the nursery as well. All that was left was Nightstone and the Twolegs who had Starclan knows what mingling with their already foul scent. A shot rang out, followed by a strangled yowl of pain. Condorcall was the first to investigate, only to have himself stand over his instantly killed mate and hiss at the Twolegs. Another shot and another yowl of pain. Silence thicker than butter engulfed the clearing. The Twolegs, thinking nothing else was there, left.
The clan members who had been out at the time filled the clearing then, having heard the loud, deafening shots, only to find the other cats surrounding the blood soaked bodies, Sunkit, Koikit, and Russetpaw in the very center, faces pressed against their parents' flanks. The bodies were burried, and a thick depressed air seemed to hang around the camp. It began raining that night, as though Starclan, too, were mourning for the loss. Many of the cats continued on with their everyday life, but the three siblings just huddled together, Russetpaw flanked by his half-siblings, continuing to mourn for their parents. The three seemed lost for an entire moon, and Russetpaw's mentor even allowed him to stay in the camp during that time.
Russetpaw finally began his training again after that moon. He would have become a warrior at that time if it weren't for the moon of mourning he had. A few days passed, and Sunkit and Koikit were given their apprentice names and mentors. Sunpaw busied herself with her apprentice work, trying to put the past behind her. Koipaw did the same, but he wasn't as dedicated as Sunpaw was at first.
Moons passed. Russetpaw finally gained his warrior name, Russetcloud. Sunpaw and Koipaw were allowed to go to a few gathers, and they would always stick close to Russetcloud, eachother, or their mentors, depending who was allowed to go to the gathering that moon. Finally, the day came for the pair to become warriors. Sunpaw became Sunrise, and Koipaw became Koistream. He was a bit disappointed since it sounded like a she-cat's name, but he soon grew to like it.
Roleplay Sample: (Koistream and Russetcloud are used as NPCs in this. ouo I'll need to find them roleplayers.)
Light shown down on the lake, causing the clear, blue-tinted water to sparkle like a diamond. The calm water broke to a small ripple as a silvery tail flipped out of the liquid and back in. Golden orange eyes watched with wonder as the silver fish swam back and forth without a care. She wasn't there for hunting. No, she was just there to watch the fish, something she found rather calming on clear days such as this. Pale orange ears perked as the fish seemingly turned to swim toward her, but the fish took another sharp turn and darted toward a few larger fish surrounded by many, many smaller fish. A family. Her ears drooped at the realisation.
Two warm bodies rubbed up against her flanks, sitting down on either side of the she-cat. The two toms, on larger than the other, stared down at the water with her, watching the school of fish dart to and fro. The trio sat in silence, knowing very well what day it was. Oh, you don't know? It was the anniversery of their parents' deaths. Every beginning of LeafFall, they would meet in front of the Riverclan side of the Lake, just sitting together in silence. The clan seemed to know why they would turn up missing that day, and they would pretty much excuse them from their duties. It was usual for cats to be killed from battles, starvation, illness, and old age, but to be killed by uncaring Twolegs, of all things, can easily take a large toll on one's self. Of course, the siblings would always bring back some prey for the clan afterward, so they were still doing their share of work, even during their annual 'day of mourning' in early LeafFall.
Sunrise looked at Russetcloud and then at Koistream, using the corners of her eyes so she wouldn't have to move her head. The only sound that reached her ears were the distant chirping of birds from Thunderclan territory, the soft ripple of the lake water whenever a fish would splash around, and the rustle of the tall grass in Windclan territory. It was almost peaceful. Almost. There was the thick aura that surrounded the trio, but that was to be expect. The white and pale orange cat glanced up at the darkening sky after what seemed like hours. She finally spoke, her voice coming out hesitant and soft, just barely above a whisper, as though she was afraid her voice would deafen them aft erushc a long period of silence. "We should go..." The two toms nodded in silence, and the trio stood up, slowly making their way back to one of the streams that lead to the Riverclan camp. They would fish on the way, but they wanted the silence to remain for just a little while longer.
Code Word/Phrase: Purple Cow
This was actually longer for the personality, but my computer crashed before I could post it. DX
