[Personality]
Solarstorm is a rather sweet she-cat, and she's a cat who should be well respected. She does what she thinks is best for her clan and hopes that one day the clans can live in peace and harmony. But she knows that there will have to be effort for this to become a reality. She'll risk her life to protect another cat, even if it's from another clan. Though she can be a little shy. There are times she has a tom or two who's gazes are pulled to her attention because of her pure white fur and stunning crystal and electric blue eyes. Solarstorm though, is never a proud cat. Not of herself. She humbles herself never putting her own being before others. Though she can have a temper if you make her mad.
[History]
Solarstorm was born to a ThunderClan she-cat and a tom kittypet. Petalstream was a brave young she-cat who fell for the house cat known as Butch. When Petalstream found out she was going to bear kits, Butch offered for her to stay with him, but Petalstream couldn't leave ThunderClan. So instead, Butch left his home, and asked to join ThunderClan. He wasn't welcomed at first, but he soon proved himself by fighting off a badger during a storm. He was made a warrior, and named for his fur and heroic feat in a storm, Hawkstorm. After a few moons, Petalstream had three kits, and named them Snakekit, Cloudkit, and Solarkit. Snakekit was the spunky hyperactive tortiseshell she-kit. Cloudwing was the sweet and calm storm gray tom. Solarkit was the shy and timid oddball. She was the odd one out of the three. Snakekit looked like their mother, Cloudkit looked like their father, but Solarkit didn't look a thing like her parents. She was teased by other kits and a few apprentices because for one, she was half kittypet, and two, she wouldn't be a good hunter, because of her pelt. She wasn't very social and would tend to keep to herself. But she always looked up to her father. He was brave and kind to her. He always told her that one day she would be one of the bravest warriors ThunderClan has ever seen.
When she and her siblings where six moons old, they where made into apprentices. Snakepaw, Cloudpaw, and Solarpaw. Snakepaw's mentor was named Glassfur, Cloudpaw's mentor was named Graytail, and Solarpaw's mentor was named Leafshard. Though it seemed as if Hawkstorm was her mentor. He'd take her out and teach her a few things that he knew, though she didn't always get everything right. But he was never hard on her. She was close to her father, and he saw the heart of a true warrior in her. After time started to pass, he was able to help her become more social with the other apprentices, and she was less shy as she became older. But when she was nearing her eigth moon, ShadowClan attacked, on unfair boundaries. There was no reason for their ambush. They fought as hard as they could to protect everything they had, and won. But before the battle had ended, Solarpaw saw as a brute like cat by the name Taintedheart, slashed her father's throat open. In the end, he died. Solarpaw felt torn apart. But she went on with her life. At the age of eleven moons, her brother and sister had become warriors. Her sister was named Snaketail and her brother was Cloudwing. Their mother became ill and passed on. Solarpaw was heartbroken and when it happened, she ran out of the camp and to a cliff above the lake. She cried out to StarClan why they took her parents, and she wanted them to bring them back. But there was no answer. She sat there, as rain started to pour. After many hours, and twilight was upon the lakeshore. She heard the sound of screeching cats and a loud barking and howling. She instantly knew what it was and she was tempted to make a run for it. She was scared, and she knew that a dog could tear her apart. But something in her heart told her to run back to camp. She wanted to protest with the feeling, but then, she felt as if a presence was there with her. She felt as if her father was there encouraging her. She stood there for a few moments, but then she darted, her light paws pounding on the drenched forest ground. Her sleak white fur stuck to her lean and thin figure. Once she reached camp, she saw a dog, black and brown, thin with pointed ears and dark brown eyes that almost seemed black. It wasn't one of the clumsy dogs she'd seen before. She was frozen to the spot, terrified. She saw cats trying to fend it away from the camp entrance, but they where failing in the process. She was the only one outside of the camp and the only cat that was out of the dogs line of sight. She took a few steps back, but once again felt as if a presence was there, urging her on. A warm and kind presence. Her expression changed from one of terror and fear, to one of understanding, and determination. She had made up her mind. This was her home, and she wasn't going to let some dog waltz up and tear it apart. She ran up, claws unsheathed and pounced on the unsuspecting creature. It was taken by surprise but fought back, trying it's hardest to shake the small white she-cat from it's back. Solarpaw held on as tight as she could with her claws. One by one she clawed her way to it's head, holding onto it with her claws. The dog tried to throw her off as it had been the whole time, but with one paw, she slashed at it's eyes, taking it's sight. The dog howled out in pain, and in one last attempt to throw her off, threw it's head back, sending little Solarpaw into a tree. She hit it hard and her sight was disoriented. She was down for a moment, but when she looked up, the dog was standing in front of her growling. It had found her by sound and the faint scent she had on her body. She almost lost hope, but in a last attempt to live and save her clan, she slowly stood then darted underneath the beast and reached up, slashing it's stomach with her claws. The dog howled in pain once again, before slowly fading into it's own death and falling to it's side. Solarpaw's vision slowly faded to black, and she passed out.
When she awoke, she was congradulated, and many of the cats, even the older warriors seemed to respect her. She was made into a warrior for her bravery, and named for her bravery in the thick rain, Solarstorm, warrior of ThunderClan. She was stunned by the sudden change. Her life had been in turmoil, nad now, everything was turning around. She was considered one of the bravest warriors in ThunderClan, for facing such a danger, and she has the same last part of the name her father had. Hawkstorm would be proud of his daughter, Solarstorm. She became more of the warrior her father told her she would be each and every day. She did have her rough moments, but she managed to pull through, and she was later on, named deputy of ThunderClan.
[Role Play Sample]
Solarpaw stood on the ledge of a cliff, over looking the lake as rain poured from the dark sky, her soddened fur sticking to her thin frail body. Her eyes where glazed over with tears and she looked to heavens above. She wailed out, over the rolling thunder and she herself was illuminated by a bolt of lightning. "Why!? StarClan first you took my father, but now you have taken my mother! Why have you done this!" Her voice echoed through the storm. But no answer came. Her expression became more twisted with emotions, and she wailed once again. "Bring them back! Please! Bring my mother and father back! They didn't deserve to die! They where loyal warriors!" Her voice wavered as she pleaded with the spirits of the dead. Once again, she recieved no answer. Her legs became like thin twigs and she collapsed with her chin on her paws. Her body crumbled up and trembling.
She laid there for many hours, until twilight fell upon the shores of the lake, though hardly noticable through the thick storm. Her pelt was drenched and she was shivering. But suddenly, she heard the screeching of cats in the direction of the camp. Her ears perked and her head shot up. She listened for another moment, and she heard another sound. One that was not of a cat. But a deep, throaty howl of a large dog. Her eyes widened in terror and she froze in place, like a statue. The sound sent shivers down her spine. She'd heard of what dogs did to cats, and just the image of them terrified her. She stood and was about to streak off in the opposite direction, but she felt a tug in her heart. "... N-no! I h-have to run! I-I'm t-too weak to f-fight a dog!" She squeaked to herself. But she felt a stronger tug, pulling her back to camp. She didn't know what it was, but she felt a warm breeze blow by her. It was a familiar warmth. "H-huh...? F... Father...?" Once again, the warm breeze blew by, but this time, the breeze became a presence. A warm comforting presence. She stood there for a moment, but then gave a nod, and looked up at the sky. "I... I understand..." She turned and streaked in the direction of camp. Her light paws pounded on the soaked earth below, and and darted past bushes sending raindrops flying behind her.
Soon enough, she reached camp, and to her horror, a large black and brown dog with a stump for a tail and tall pointy ears stood at the entrance to camp digging, trying to get to her clanmates. She froze on the spot, her eyes wide a jaw slightly slack with ears pinned back. This wasn't the clumsy type of dog she'd heard of before. It was thin and lean. A doberman. Her mind was shrieking for her to run, and she took a few steps back. But again, she felt the warm presence that felt like her father. "B-but... I c-can't fight that thing!" She cried out in her mind. She felt a warm breath on her face and it felt like s noce was pressed to her forehead. She was silent, but felt as if she now knew what she needed to do. She took a breath with her head down and eyes closed, and nodded. Then, just as lightning lit up the sky behind her, Solarpaw's head whipped up and her eyes shone with determination. She still felt scared inside, but she knew that her father had died protecting the clan he called home, and she would do the same if she had to. If it meant protecting all of ThunderClan.
She unsheathed her claws and darted toward the large beast. She leaped up as high as she possibly could, her sharp weapons outstreched and she landed on the dog's back. It yowled out in pain as she dug her claws into it's skin, and then started to thrash around, trying to get her off. The pouring rain made it hard for her to keep a hold on the creature, but she just managed to do so. Slowly, moving one paw forward at a time, sinking her claws in each time, she made her way to it's head. With one front paw, she raised her weapons, just as lightning lit up the sky behind her, and she slashed the dog's eyes, taking it's sight. It howled and wailed in pain. But in one last attempt to throw her off, it reared up, and threw it's head back, sending her flying into a tree.
Solarpaw was out for a moment, but she groaned, and lifted her head. Her vision was blurry and disoriented, but as she started to adjust her vision, she saw the dog, towering before her, fangs bared and growling deeply. Blood covered it's face because of the wound she left in place of it's dark brown, almost black eyes. Her eyes widened, realising it had found her by the faint scent she still had barely clinging to her pelt. "No... this can't be where I die... this can't be my end..." She tought to herself, the words running cold through her veins. "No... this isn't where it ends... I won't let myself die here... I have so much I need to do... I... I need to make my father proud..." She thought. "... I won't die here!" She shouted and stood up then darted under the beast and reached up with a paw, and sliced the dog's stomach. She skid to a hault about four meters away from the dog, after running out from under it. The dog howled in pain one last time, before it took it's final breath, and faded to it's own death. The dog collapsed on it's side, making a loud thud.
Solarpaw was panting, and the blood of the dog was washing from her pure white fur, as the rain still poured heavily. Her vision started to blurr once more, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw a tortiseshell calico pelt and then after a storm gray pelt emerge from the camp.
"Who was...!? Solarpaw!" Snaketail cried out and streaked over to her just as the white apprentice blacked out and collapsed.
Solarpaw's ears twitched hearing a soft voice, and she opened her eyes to see she was in the medicine den, but there was no one there. "I... I'm alive...?" She muttered to herself. She stood, but at first, stumbled a bit. She regained her balance, and slowly, she made her way out of the medicine den. She looked around and there where a few cats talking amongst one another.
Then, one cat spotted Solarpaw, and they called out through the clearing that she was awake. A few of the apprentices crowded around her asking a bunch of questions, and she couldn't quite catch them all. Soon enough, they let her walk past, and she got a few head bows from a few of the warriors who looked proud, but also relieved she was alive.
Soon, everyone knew she was alright, and up walking around. She was praised a few times and her brother and sister didn't leave her side when they saw her. But soon, the ThunderClan leader called a clan meeting. All of the cats gathered around and Leafshard, Solarpaw's mentor had just finished bounding down the rocks to the leader's den.
The leader stood tall and smiled proudly down onto his clan. "We may have lost the life of our dear friend Petalstream today, but a great feat has been made." He said, and his voice echoed around the clearing. Cats seemed to agree and pride showed in Leafshard's eyes. "I'm proud to say, that Leafshard has agreed, that it is now Solarpaw's time to be named, a warrior of ThunderClan." Solarpaw's blue eyes widen in surprise, and yowls of agreement could be heard from her clanmates around her.
Solarpaw's brother and sister beamed with pride for their sister who had proven herself, almost more then worthy of a warrior name, and they both stayed by her side. Snaketail was grinning and Cloudwing was smiling.
Solarpaw, who had regained herself from shock, looked back up at the leader, after glancing at both her brother and sister. She was a little nervous though, but waited for the leader to speak. "Solarpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect your clan even at the cost of your life?" He asked, looking down at her from the ledge he stood upon.
Her throat felt dry, and she had trouble speaking for a moment. "I... I-I..." She swallowed a lump in her throat, but she felt her siblings both give her a comforting nudge, she took a breath and looked up, directly at the leader. "... I do." She replied.
The leader smiled and gave a nod. "Then, by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. From this day forward, you shall be known as Solarstorm, warrior of ThunderClan." Solarstorm's eyes widened a bit. Storm was the last part of her father's warrior name... A smile slowly grew upon her lips, as she heard her new name chanted three times, by her clanmates.
