Personality
There is no point in pretending that Taintedheart is sweet and friendly. He appears to be mysterious and unemotional, but beneath his hard outer shell there is burning cynicism, bitterness, and hatred. Although he a Clan cat, his first loyalty is to himself alone. He is cruel and cunning, a liar and a thief. He does not believe in StarClan or the Dark Forest. Oftentimes, Taintedheart can be quite insane. He relishes the feeling of killing other cats. Deep inside he may not be as evil as he appears, but he cares for no one and trusts no one. Other cats? Watching their pain makes him laugh. He sees them as stupid and worthless of his time.

Not to say that all of his traits are negative. Sometimes he can be calm and normal. Taintedheart is a hard worker on the rare occasion he is inspired to be. He is set in his ways and when he gets his mind wrapped around something, he does not let it go. This warrior is determined and ambitious. If there is a problem or a mystery he will always persist until he gets to the bottom of it. He does not forget things. If a cat offends them, they will be sorry, but that works two ways in that if a cat is truly his friend he will never betray them easily. In short, Taintedheart is a fighter.

He is a strong warrior, big in both body and ego and he knows it. If he wants to be, which he does, he is a force to be reckoned with. You want to try to be his friend, and if you're at all heartless and sadistic, you might find that it can be quite fun. Taintedheart does not always go out of his way to torture others, but does not care to stop for those who get in his way. He will use any means to get what he wants. Fighting fair is something that he scoffs at and will not do. Strike them when they're down to stay on top, that's his mindset. Because he is the only one who deserves to be on top.

History
Taintedkit and Burningkit were born in the ShadowClan nursery like any other ordinary warriors. Burningkit was so named because of the fire color of his fur, and Taintedkit because he was darker than the rest of the family. They got along well in their early years, got into lots of trouble and mischief, all the usual. Taintedkit was never one to care too much about staying inside the nursery with mommy. He couldn't wait to be made an apprentice and not be subject to all the stupid rules the Clans had about kits. When he was six moons old, that day came without incident.

His new mentor was named Skullcrack, who was a cruel cheater of a warrior. The new apprentice found that quite awesome rather than a bad thing, and was quick to try to impress him. Needless to say, by Taintedpaw's twelfth moon the warrior had instilled some influence on the youngster, although from the kind of games the kit played it was clear he might have been heading in that direction anyway. But for ShadowClan, a warrior who would do anything was an asset, never to be shunned. Taintedheart is not the most popular cat, but he is certainly not the most lonely.

Not a moon after his receiving his warrior name, he got the chance to prove his living up to it. The battle with ThunderClan. Taintedheart was in his element. It was a chance to prove himself, satisfy bloodthirsty pleasure and teach those fools a lesson. Using every cheating strategy and opportunity that came to mind, determined to win, he ended up killing a warrior. It was the first time the young cat ever went that far. Was he at all sorry, staring down at the lifeless body with blood on his paws? Questionable. Did he take notice of the distraught young she-cat who swore revenge? Of course not.
