Description: Mapleshade is a white and ginger tom. He has amber eyes. His claws are thorn sharp. He is sturdily built, with broad shoulders. His tail is white and fluffy. He is thick muscled, he is sleek and thin making him a good runner. He has thick fur that keeps him warm even in the coldest moons during leafbare.

Personality: Mapleshade is always looking out for himself first. He wouldn't flinch at killing someone if they were threatening him. He hates traitors to him or his clan and punishes them so. Mapleshade is cunning and extremely intelligent. He has a way with words that tricks everyone that listens to him into believe that he is thinking only for them or the clan. He is willing to do almost anything to become leader of Windclan. he hopes with time that he can convince enough Windclan warriors to help him overthrow Tornstar.

History: Mapleshade was born to Blackheart and Darkstride. He was the first born and the strongest out of all his siblings. Like all kits he was playful, friendly and caring. He couldn't wait to become an apprentice. He would often practice attacking his siblings. At times he was tougher than need be with his siblings. When he was finally made a deputy he was excited to get the current Deputy Ravenswing. He trained harder than most apprentices his age. Always first to get freshkill for the elders in the morning and to make sure they where happy. But what no one knew was that it was his ambition that drove him. He wanted to be leader and would stop at nothing to get it. His mentor saw his ambition and helped him harness it. He also helped teach him how to hide his true feelings. For his mentor had also bean ambitious as well. He hopped to make Maplepaw loyal to him for when he became leader.

Moons passed and Maplepaw became Mapleshade. Ravenswing and Mapleshade where good friends and where often seen talking to one another in low voices in camp. But no one ever expected that either of them would dare try to kill the leader and become leader themselves. Days before Mapleshade and Ravenswing where planning to strike Windclan was attacked by Shadowclan. While Mapleshade was protecting the nursery Ravenswing was struck down by the Shadowclan deputy. Windclan won the battle but lost there deputy.

At the time Mapleshade was still to young to become deputy so he had to bid his time. He mourned his friends loss but knew he would want him to find a way to make there dreams come true. Six moons later Mapleshade finally received his own apprentice. He trained Berrypaw and taught him everything he knew. Knowing he would need help with his plans he was able to convince Berrypaw into helping him. Later when Berrypaw was made into Berrypelt they continued with there plans and trying to figure out who they could trust to join them.

Moons passed and finally Windstripe passed away from sickness and Mapleshades dreams came true at last. He finally became deputy of Windclan. Now all he had to do was get more Windclan cats on his site to help him overthrow Tornstar.
