We Are Marked (House of Night/Werecats)

Merry Meet. My name is Zoey Redbird and here is the rundown...

We all know they're real, you know who I am talking about… vampyres. They're practically everywhere even in modern day society. They are great musicians like Paramore, Within Temptations, Kenny Chesney. Oh, and of course actors like Kevin Bacon and Deborah Ann Woll. Hell, they even have their own schools, you know, the House of Night. Now, of course, some people say vampyres are cool. But there is a religion called the People of Faith and they're mostly old school Christians that search for any reason to hate. It's pretty 50/50 on who hates and likes vampyres in the human world though...

The People of Faith are really slamming down on vampyres. Calling them Demons, Soulless monsters and an abomination… People of the year? I think not.

Vampyres just ignore the hate, they are focused on educating their young. The young (teenagers) are known as 'fledglings'. They teach the fledglings how to fit into the world and teach them about their goddess named Nyx. In Chicago’s House of Night, the local High Priestess’s name is Estelle Josephine. I heard she is a great high priestess.

Something is going on... Besides these new red vampyres Nyx has made this other type of speices. They call themselves werecats! They started coming into the House of Night schools not long after the red vampyres. They say they are protectors of the vampyres and that Nyx created them to protect. I've found out from many sources that they are 'drawn' to a certain vampyre to protect them.... like a Warrior protects his High Priestess. It's weird because the normal 'house' cats in the House of Night pick a vampyre to be with until the end of time. Cats have allied themselves with Nyx since the beginning of time it's not wonder she made these protectors as werecats. Oh, and there's three types of werecats loins, tigers, and leopards! They are Marked the same as vampyres but with a gold moon instead of red or blue. It'll be interesting to see how these new people and the red vampyres fit in.

But hey, I'm just a new High Priestess giving others some information. I don't even live anywhere near Chicago House of Night! I'm not even sure who will read this. But for those who do read it- Blessed Be.
